Save money
J2journal, our tool for creating and sharing digital portfolios of learning, is the newest tool in the Just2easy Tool Suite. It is included as part of all existing Just2easy subscriptions at no extra cost, making it a perfect replacement for Seesaw or any other parental communication tools that schools might be separately paying for.
Increase parental engagement
Schools have told us how the Parent Portal and j2journal have been brilliant for increasing parental engagement in their schools. As well as celebrating children’s learning through work added to the j2journal, connected parents can also see;
- Homework that has been set for their child
- J2stars (behaviour reward points) awarded to their child
- Messages sent by their child’s teachers
‘With the Parent Portal, families… are ready to celebrate their child’s achievements when they get home, using those journal entries as a means to begin learning conversations.’
Julia Rickard, Education Support Officer, Aberdeenshire council
Encourage reflective learning
In j2journal, pupils are able to add their own entries to share, subject to moderation by their teacher. This process encourages self reflection and evaluation, key skills in developing independent learners.
Fully GDPR compliant; data never leaves the Europe
We know how important it is to keep your data safe. You can be fully confident when connecting parents with their children’s learning that their data is completely safe and secure, and never leaves Europe.
Created, and improved, in partnership with our teachers
At Just2easy we take feedback from our schools very seriously. We have made significant improvements to the parent portal and j2journal since their respective launches, and are confident that our products are now as good, if not better, than their competitors.
Below are some of the most recent updates to our parent communication tools;
- Schools can now tailor parental engagement through j2journal, to meet their specific needs. The platform allows for parental journal posts and comments, which can be switched on and off on a class-by-class basis
- A new “like” button has been added. This allows users to quickly like a comment or post
- J2message has been updated to show when a message has been read by a parent or parents
