This session explores how digital storytelling through film and animation can support literacy, creativity, and pupil voice. While Just2easy does not provide tools for editing live-action film, it can be used to house and utilise video content created in other apps, such as iMovie, Stop Motion Studio, or other animation software.
Participants will explore frame-by-frame animation techniques in JIT animate and how these can support sequencing, logical order, and visual storytelling, all without requiring live filming within Just2easy. Teachers will also learn how to import videos and animations from external tools into Just2easy and integrate them with activities in j2create.
The session will also demonstrate how animation and film content can be embedded across the curriculum, supporting creativity, computational thinking, and pupil engagement.
The session will explore how film and animation activities support the:
Northern Ireland ICT Desirable Features, helping pupils develop creativity, expression, and confidence using digital tools across the curriculum
