How can we use information fairly to persuade others? In this live lesson, pupils will vote on fictional proposals for improving a shared outdoor space, then use the poll result as evidence in a campaign.
In this session, pupils will:
- Take part in a J2Vote poll about two community proposals
- Explore what the result tells us, and what it cannot tell us about everyone’s views
- Practise describing poll results accurately and avoiding unsupported claims
- Create a campaign poster, card or short announcement in J2Create or JIT Mix, combining a proposal, poll evidence and persuasive language
Learning Objectives:
- Gather data through a class or audience poll
- Use the result accurately in a campaign message
- Distinguish between what poll data shows and what it does not show
- Create campaign content that combines a proposal, evidence and persuasive language

As with all Just2easy live lessons, the session will be recorded and available to watch back after the live stream.
