Event details

This session explores how Just2easy supports digital art and design through purposeful, curriculum-linked creative activities. Teachers will be introduced to a range of tools within the Just2easy suite that allow pupils to draw, paint, and design using digital media. The focus will be on helping pupils make intentional design choices, such as selecting appropriate colours, shapes, and layouts to communicate ideas clearly.

Participants will examine how digital art can enhance learning across the curriculum. Progression in digital creativity will be highlighted, demonstrating how skills can develop from early mark-making to more refined visual design as pupils move through the primary stages. The session will also demonstrate how digital art activities support the:

  • Northern Ireland ICT Desirable Features, particularly in developing pupils’ creativity, digital capability, and confidence in using technology to express ideas and learning.
  • Welsh Digital Competence Framework (DCF), particularly across the Creativity and Citizenship strands of Curriculum for Wales
  • Scottish Curriculum for Excellence Technologies experiences and outcomes.
